I'm sitting here doing some Qabbalagghh reading and have an inspiration to re-organize the low numbers of the Major Arcana. I will contemplate this some time later; this is just to record the initial thoughts.

1: Magician.
2: Chariot. (Dichotomy of mind-and-body; i-and-the-other.)
3: Lovers. 'Cause there's three of them. Other correspondences as well that I will have to ponder.
4: Universe.

The rest will require careful thought, to see if I can construct a System that contradicts itself and its antecedents in the properly-interesting way.

I personally feel this would be a misstep, for reasons I'm still hoping I'll get to discuss with you in person soon. ♥

I am not at all certain this is something I want to do; this entry is mostly recording a stray thought. I want to determine exactly how bad it is, and in what ways; examining a blind alley of metaphor can be useful in solidifying the true way!

Lee Irwin sort-of did this. He didn't renumber the cards, but he changed around which paths they sit on.
1. High Priestess
2. High Priest
3. Judgement
4. Star
5. Moon
6. Sun
7. Temperance
8. Justice
9. Magician
10. Hanged Man
11. Hermit
12. Strength
13. Chariot
14. Empress
15. Emperor
16. Lovers
17. Tower
18. Death
19. Devil
20. Wheel
21. World
22. Fool

I think that actually switching the numbers around is probably a bad idea, but if you want a Qabbalaggghistic interpretation, since you've already changed around the elemental associations of the suits, there's no reason why you shouldn't also mix up the paths the trumps sit on.

(My general attitude towards mixing things up is that when I want a deck which was designed to be faithful to traditional magickal correspondences, I just use the Thoth deck, because nobody's gonna do it better than The Great Beast himself...)
